The Community UI

The Community UI can be opened by clicking the Community button on the right side of the client. The Community UI has a Friend tab and a Block tab.

Buttons at the bottom of the Community UI are used to add and remove Characters from the Friend or Block tab.

Once added to the Friend list the Character Name can be right clicked to open a drop down menu of options for that Character (such as invite to a party or whisper.)

The Chatting UI

Chat windows may be created, closed, clicked & dragged, set to display or filter certain types of messages, separated and arranged around the screen or merged and switched to by tabs. To bring up a menu of available interactions with a Chat window right click on the Chat window title tab (the default Chat window tab is titled Normal.) To whisper another Player Character, press enter, then type /w "The Character Name here" "The message to send here." This will open a separate chat window for whispers to and from that Character.

There are various other areas to chat in, when in a party or a guild for instance. Type "@" before the message for regional chat, type "#" before the message for party chat, type "$" before the message for guild chat, and when your chat is set to guild, party or regional chat type "!" before the message for normal chat.
